Chapter I LICENCE-HOLDERS

§ 5 Sports directors

1.1.077 Sports directors shall hold the appropriate licence.

Special provisions for UCI WorldTeams, UCI Women’s WorldTeams, UCI ProTeams and UCI Women’s ProTeams.

Sports directors and assistant sports directors of UCI WorldTeams, UCI Women’s WorldTeams, UCI Women’s ProTeams and UCI ProTeams must also have successfully passed the UCI Professional Sports Director Course examination.

Sports directors and assistant sports directors of UCI WorldTeams, UCI Women’s WorldTeams, UCI Women’s ProTeams and UCI ProTeams who intend to be registered as such for the first time must pass the examination the year before taking on the role.

The registration of Sports Directors and assistant sports directors of UCI WorldTeams, UCI Women’s WorldTeams, UCI Women’s ProTeams and UCI ProTeams shall only be confirmed by the UCI if the examination is successfully passed.

Special Provisions for UCI Continental Team and UCI Women’s Continental Team

Sports directors and assistant sports directors of UCI Continental Teams and UCI Women’s Continental Teams must have successfully passed the UCI Sports Director course.

The registration of Sports Directors and assistant sports directors of UCI Continental Teams and UCI Women’s Continental Teams shall only be confirmed by the UCI if the UCI Sports Director course is successfully passed.

Special Provisions for National Teams

Sports directors and assistant sports directors of National Teams appointed to the UCI Road World Championships or participating in events of the UCI International Calendar must have successfully passed the UCI Sports Director course.

The accreditation of Sports Directors and assistant sports directors of National Teams shall only be confirmed by the UCI or the organiser if the UCI Sports Director course is successfully passed.
